Georg Bisztray is head of index development and operations at MTS, part of the London Stock Exchange group. In this role he leads proprietary and bespoke product development and supervises operations. Prior to this, Georg worked for Dow Jones Indexes as its European index development and operations manager and as senior product developer for Wiener Boerse AG. He graduated from Vienna University for economics and administration with an MSc in economic sciences and operations management.
Raphaël Dieterlen is head of ETFs and index investments at Lyxor Asset Management, having joined the firm in 2009. Prior to Lyxor, he was deputy head of guaranteed products and then head of index fund management at SGAM Alternative Investments. He began his career in 1998 as a financial engineer at BNP Paribas AM and became fund manager of actively-managed guaranteed products in 2000. Raphaël is a graduate in mathematical engineering from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland (EPFL).
Pierre Hereil has been a quantitative analyst in the research and development team of Lyxor Asset Management since 2010. He started his career at Société Générale in 2007 as a fund analyst. Pierre holds a Masters degree in finance from the Paris-Dauphine University and a specialised Masters degree in quantitative finance from the Bocconi University, Milan. He is also a CFA charterholder.
Andrew Howieson is a London-based consultant, focused on global capital markets and with an expertise in European clearing and settlement, European exchanges/MTFs, crossing networks and dark pools, securities lending and global custody. In previous jobs, Andrew established a European presence for Tabb Group, a research and consulting firm, was a managing director of eSecLending (Europe) Ltd and headed corporate strategy and business development for State Street.
Matthew Tagliani is European head of index sector and ETF trading at Credit Suisse in London. He is also the author of The Practical Guide to Wall Street, a professional finance textbook that provides a trading desk view of the day-to-day workings of the equity and equity derivatives business of a typical sell-side investment bank. Matthew is a CFA charterholder and received a Masters degree in applied mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
Roy Zimmerhansl is principal of FinTuition, a training company focused on education in securities finance, hedge funds and securities operations, as well as running a consultancy firm. Roy has over 30 years of experience in the securities business, including senior positions at proprietary trading firms, prime brokers, a multilateral trading facility, custodian banks and a central depository. He is currently an independent participant on the Bank of England’s Securities Lending and Repo Committee.
