Kanye West spotted wearing bitcoin cap

Is Kanye West (becoming) a bitcoiner? Last Sunday, the rapper appeared in Beverly Hills for a weekend getaway.

Ye

While doing so, ‘Ye’ made it clear in a knowing way that he is a fan of bitcoin. At least, that is the assumption now being made in the communities. Why? He wore a cap bearing therefore the name Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of bitcoin.

Following an anti-Semitic tirade, the 45-year-old rapper has been under fire for several days. West caused controversy last week when he tweeted the following:

‘”Am still a bit sleepy tonight, but when I’m awake I’m going death con 3 on the Jewish people.”

He was referring to the state of readiness of the US military. Instead of backtracking, he continued in an interview on Drink Champs. The details of the soap opera do not necessarily belong on a bitcoin site. What does belong there is the sequel.

Bankless

Indeed, the American’s company called Yeezy was denied access to its bank account at JP Morgan Chase.

On 12 October, author Candace Owens published a letter sent by JPMorgan to Yeezy.

“Earlier today, I heard that Kanye West has been officially removed from the bench of JP Morgan Chase. I was told that no official reason was given, but they also sent this letter confirming that he has until the end of November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to bank.”

The story was soon refuted, but ambiguity remained. The fact that he was wearing the Nakamoto hat reignited the discussion.

Bitcoin is neutral and it is not a weapon for central authorities. Across the world, bitcoin is therefore popular. It is sometimes called “enemies’ money”, which is evident again in controversial topics.

Meanwhile, the hip-hop star also bought up Parler. This is the ‘free’ version of Twitter – which stands firmly for any form of expression.
