By now, everyone knows about the NFTs and ApeCoin (APE) of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC). But what many probably don’t know is that there is also a news platform called the Bored Ape Gazette. This news platform exists since June this year, and it already has plans to become a 24-hour platform.
The Gazette to 24/7
The Bored Ape Gazette exists to keep ApeCoin and NFT holders, among others, informed about the latest developments of Ape. The news platform has existed since 1 June this year and is growing exponentially. As a result, there are now plans to make it available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The Gazette wants to realise this through financial support from the Ape DAO. This is a ‘Decentralised Autonomous Organisation’ that makes choices about the funds. The community can certainly use a 24/7 news platform. The Ape community is growing so fast that there is plenty of news to report.
The developments
“With the support of the DAO, the Bored Ape Gazette website will become a 24-hour news site,” Gazette told the ApeCoin forum. This news site will be complete with news about the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), Bored Ape Kennel Club (BAKC), and Otherdeed.
Many more features are also coming, the Bored Ape Gazette reports. “There will be an APE price chart complete with a tradeview, a calendar with important dates such as DAO voting and other community-related events, a ‘classified’ section where community members can post their BAYC/Yuga-related art and services, and other resources that will keep the community and the world informed of all things Ape.”
How much may it cost?
The Bored Ape Gazette says it can begin this upgrade immediately. “Once the DAO approves this grant, coverage of all things Ape will increase from 1-2 stories per day to 3-5.”
To this end, the Gazette plans to receive $10,000 per month for articles, as well as set aside a separate pot for revamping the website. In total, the news platform wants 150,000 dollars for the first year.
