Twitter integrates bitcoin price into app

Twitter has added a new feature. All users can now very easily check the price of bitcoin.

Price in Twitter

Just type the word ‘bitcoin’ in the search box to bring up the price history of the largest crypto currency.

Besides bitcoin, you can also see the price of the runner-up. The price trend of dogecoin has not been integrated, despite Twitter boss Musk being a big fan of the dog currency.

It seems to be a collaboration between Twitter and Robinhood. Because as soon as the price comes into view, you can click through to the trading platform at the bottom left of the screen. From there, interested parties can then buy bitcoin. The data itself appears to come from TradingView.

No official details about the collaboration between the two parties have been disclosed, by the way.

According to data from BitInfoCharts, the hashtag #bitcoin is posted about 120,000 times every day. $btc, $bitcoin and #btc are also doing well.

Twitter Coin?

Earlier this month, the rumour mill started up when information leaked out about its own native cryptocurrency called “Twitter Coin”. Will the company issue its own cryptocurrency? Earlier, Musk also shared that he wanted to turn the social media platform into a payment service.

In doing so, he would go the way of not only WeChat but also Telegram (where a peer-to-peer marketplace is built into the @Wallet feature, just like the TON token).

Meanwhile, there is much uncertainty about the future of Musk and Twitter. A poll on whether he should step down as boss received 17 million votes. The majority think it would be better if the billionaire stepped down.

Musk later added that he “will step down as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take over the job.”
